Skype Goes Down (Again), Users Inexplicably Blaming Microsoft On Twitter
Skype appears to be down, or at the very least it is for a whole lot of users throughout Europe who are tweeting in a ton of different languages about their inability to connect. Many blame Microsoft, and even founder Bill Gates for the downtime, which is sort of strange because the multi-billion dollar acquisition of Skype hasn’t even closed yet.
Anyway, let’s pray that this isn’t a repeat of the Great Skype Outage of December 2010, when the apocalypse appeared nigher than ever.

Facebook and Skype announce video sharing partnership
Social networking giant Facebook and video chat leader Skype have announced a video sharing partnership enabling Facebook users to place Skype calls directly to any of their Facebook ‘Friends’ without having to leave the firm’s website.
Facebook users do not need to have Skype already on their system, with installation of a Java plug-in the only requirement.

Skype problems persisting for users even with workaround
Many users of the Skype messaging and VoIP service found themselves incommunicado today after the service went down for many users, with the outage in many cases causing the Skype software to crash. The company has published a workaround that should allow crashing clients to get back online, and plans to have an easier solution "soon," but as yet has no explanation for the problems.
