Skype appears to be down, or at the very least it is for a whole lot of users throughout Europe who are tweeting in a ton of different languages about their inability to connect. Social networking giant Facebook and video chat leader Skype have announced a video sharing partnership enabling Facebook users to place Skype calls directly to any of their Facebook ‘Friends’ without having to leave the firm’s website. Many users of the Skype messaging and VoIP service found themselves incommunicado today after the service went down for many users, with the outage in many cases causing the Skype software to crash.
