The Battlefield of ARPU and Customer Loyalty in the Telecommunications World

In this very dynamic landscape of the telecommunications world, the undying issue of increasing Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) and keeping your customers in your network has been in the verge of heated arguments. There have been a lot of talks about the most innovative ways in making these goals possible but at the end it all boils down to one MAJOR part of the holistic idea – INNOVATIVE TELECOM SERVICES.

The research part of this workshop started by talking to people from the MENA region in specifically asking them general questions on what they feel would be an interesting platform for them to consider as a workshop. Three trends came up during the process and these three important points are inter-related to one another – Increasing ARPU, CHURN Management and Service Creation and Innovation. Thus the research for a specific topic on “Increasing ARPU and Customer Loyalty through Innovative Telecom Services” was started. We aimed to speak to at least 20 people to complete the research process and ask very straight forward questions – Would they be interested to attend a workshop on such topic? What things would they think important to incorporate in the agenda? What they think about the Trainer? Do they allocate budget to attend such trainings? What the think about the venue? The result of the research can be seen in detailed through the attached topic research tool. The results were outstanding and this will give us the green light to go ahead with the topic and the trainer.

Another point to ponder and that gave us a stronger feel of how this training course would be of interest to the players is the fact that it would encompass a whole range of target market and these target market has not seen a lot of training courses that tackles such issues in this space.

I am also very confident on how the expertise of our workshop leader would add tremendous pull for people to come and learn from him. He is perceived in a lot of ways to be a visionary in the industry and has provided a lot of very interesting talks, presentations and workshops in the past, best thing is that he is from a very advance market in terms of ARPU and Mobile Innovation.
